Blue Diamond Recreation has compiled a brief directory of resources for veterans and their families. We have listed just a few below from each of our major categories. We maintain ongoing relationships and do our best to stay up to date on all of these groups.


We have made every effort to verify that they are reliable and viable organizations. However, we do not endorse them, nor can we be responsible for the accuracy or completeness of the information about them.

Emergency Assistance

Operation First Response |

Assists families of wounded service members with rent/mortgage payments, utilities, vehicle payments and repairs, food, travel and transportation.


Operation Homefront |

Offers emergency financial, legal and other assistance to families of service members and wounded warriors.


Semper Fi Fund |

Provides financial assistance and other support services for service members and their families during periods of hospitalization and recovery following injury or illness.

Legal Assistance


Develops and promotes public policy on veteran-related issues such as VA funding, homelessness, retirement pay and disability compensation, employment and training.


National Veterans Legal Services Program |

NVLSP recruits, trains, and assists volunteer lawyers and advocates in support of efforts by veterans to obtain benefits they have earned through military service.

Health, Medical & Wellness

Veterans Crisis Line |

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs suicide prevention hotline with 24/7 access to trained professionals prepared to help any veteran in crisis.


Addiction Group – Veterans |

Addiction Group is dedicated to help individuals (especially veterans) suffering from substance abuse and prevent new cases through credible information and spreading awareness to as many as we can reach.

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) | Alcohol Rehab Help |

Provides free resources and information to help struggling veterans & families get their lives back on track, including relapse prevention skills.
